Travel Information (Flight Booking and Visas)
All persons entering Ghana must be in possession of a valid passport or Travel Documents establishing the identity of the holder. Your passport should have a minimum validity of six months or even for a year. If you do not have a passport, you must contact your home-country passport office. Please make sure you plan in advance as passports can take up to six weeks to be issued in some cases. Travel Documents may include vaccination certificates and other travel documents issued by International Agencies recognized by the Government of Ghana.
All volunteers or interns to Ghana will be required to obtain a visa from closest Ghanaian Representation (Embassy, Consulate or High Commission) in their country. Where Ghana has no Consular or Diplomatic representation, an application for Entry Visa may be made to the closest Diplomatic Mission or Consulate authorized by the Government of Ghana. Volunteers will need to have an invitation letter from HAF to support their Visa application to travel to Ghana, please contact us for more information.
