Volunteer Program FeeAt HAF, we offer very affordable program fees with high-quality service and a level of transparency to all our volunteers and intern. The program fee covers the cost of decent home-stay accommodation, meals, airport pick-up, orientation, and in-country program support during your entire volunteer stay. Our program fees are determined according to the length of stay.
Volunteers are required to pay a deposit of $150 to secure their placement. Deposit is included as part of the program fee, it is not an additional charge. Full payment of program fees is due 30 days before the volunteer’s project. (HAF reserves the right to change its policies, review cost and inform volunteers accordingly before their arrival. At HAF, our primary goal is to cater for the needs and ensure the hospitable welfare of all our volunteers. Program fee paid covers the listed below:

Airport Pick-up / Drop off: Volunteers will be met by our program coordinator at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra upon arrival after which you will be transferred to your-family. If volunteer's project placement in Accra, you will be transferred to your host family in Accra after being picked up from the airport. If a volunteer's project is in the Eastern region, you will spend the night in Accra with our host family and transport to our project site the next day. Orientation: A half-day orientation will be provided by our local coordinator. All expense through the orientation is covered by HAF. After orientation is over, you will be introduced to your project. Accommodation (Home-stay): Volunteers will stay with our hospitable host-family in a housing consists of comfortable rooms in a safe conveniently located neighborhood, clean and fenced. Accommodation is either provided in an individual or shared room along with other volunteers. Food: Volunteers will be served two freshly cooked meals daily (breakfast and dinner). You will enjoy the delicious meals like rice and chicken, vegetable's stew and yam and some Ghanaian cuisine like fufu and soup, banku and okra stew. Vegetables and fruits will also be available. Our host family is willing to meet the standards of volunteers and every dietary requirement. Assistance and Project Support: HAF provides 24/7 assistance and support from staff. Volunteers will be provided with contact details of our local coordinator and staff as part of their pre-departure preparation. During the program, our project coordinator will be your direct link, 24 hours a day and any concerns, questions or needs you may have will be addressed efficiently in a timely manner. |
